Frequently Asked Questions

How does it play through my car speakers?

There's two ways to do this. You can either connect the included AUX cord from the RetroScreen to your car's stereo/radio OR use the RetroScreen's in-built FM transmitter to play the audio through an unused radio station that you tune your car radio to.

Will it work in my vehicle?

You only need:

✅ A lighter socket 

✅ A radio that can play FM stations OR an AUX input

Is it wired or wireless?

The RetroScreen is completely wireless - it does not require any wires to be plugged into your phone. However, if you wish to use it with a wired connection, you can plug your phone into the RetroScreen via USB. This will also charge your phone.

How do I connect my phone to the RetroScreen?

Once you've plugged the RetroScreen into your car's lighter socket, visit your phone's Bluetooth settings. You'll be able to connect to the RetroScreen here within a few seconds. It will also automatically reconnect to your phone when you get in your car the next time - for a seamless experience.

What apps can I use with CarPlay/Android Auto?

The RetroScreen is compatible with all the same apps that you can use in a new car that already has CarPlay/Android Auto. Such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Waze, Maps, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Whatsapp, Messages, Phone and heaps more!

How strong is it? Will the mount break or fall off the dashboard?

The RetroScreen is made of durable materials, we stand behind the quality of it and its mount.

The sticky suction combined with the suction switch results in a much stronger setup in your car than our competitors. The suction part can also be cleaned to reinforce the strength.

We do understand that unfortunate situations do happen, and if for some reason your RetroScreen's arm/mount breaks, we'll ship you a replacement arm/mount for FREE.
